Scent Hound

Arley (Arlington) Loretta Dufrey, is a female Cwn Annwn, a hound of The Otherside. Not only is she capable of shifting a feat not many female Cwn Annwn can endure, but she is also a scent hound. Scent hounds are capable of smelling emotions, breaking down the layers of a persons individual scent to reveal their deepest and darkest secrets. Scent Hound is a novel that bridges the gap between The Wild Hunt and The Otherside.

Second Scents

Few things in this world turn my stomach the way a large city does. The undertones of fried food and urine are the perfect pairing to the overwhelming scent of garbage and body odor. My fragile nose hates cities, but my job requires my presence. No one in the sticks hires private investigators. There are no paranoid rich wives, or jealous rich husbands, not to mention the absolute absence of corporate espionage.

I’m what you call a scent hound. My ability makes it possible for me to smell not only the garbage in the dumpsters, but the place that serves fried chicken a mile away. My biggest advantage in this business is that I can actually smell your secrets. Every emotion gives of a certain smell. Only gifted people, or creatures I should say, are capable of distinguishing the subtle differences. Just like perfume can smell differently on people so too can a particular feeling.

Envy for instance, is a pungent odor so sour it’s almost dripping with lemon. It is almost identical to hate. I am one of a few people that can tell the difference. I’m sort of a connoisseur of scent. I can smell your lies, your fears, and your deepest and darkest desires. If you have something to hide, I’m your worst nightmare. I’m a living and breathing walking lie detector, and I can smell you down to the type of soap you use, your morning ritual to the last time you took a hand and stroked your favorite body part. Everything leaves behind a scent…Everything.

The Hidden

The Hidden is story about Duncan Benandanti and his younger brother Finley, as they travel across the country trying to find their father, and distance themselves from Concord. Duncan uses the excuse of tracking down Enzo, to free himself from the pull of Concord, and the probablity that the one girl he wants more than any other has every reason to hate him. He carries his guilt like armor, and travels the countryside running into packless half-bloods and dangerous bites. Everywhere they go trouble seems to follow, most of the time caused by Fin himself. As the years go by, the pull towards home lessens, and Duncan thinks that maybe this time he'll be able to finally go back and confront the accident that changed his life forever.

Camp Temperance

When Jennifer Meyer met Agent Shawn Greene, it wasn't love at first sight. His brutal and blood thirsty partner Brody, was threatening to tear out her throat. She didn't know that the animal that attacked her a month before had infected her. She didn't know she was dangerous..........until it was too late. Now she has to learn how to forgive herself for something she couldn't control. Shipped off for the summer to a special camp for newly infected bites, Jen can't help but wonder if she's made a terrible mistake.

Her roommate likes to wear black and mutilate's her body, the guy she likes treats her like she's ten years old, and the disgustingly happy camp director makes her want to throw up. How can everyone be so excited about their new lives? How can they possibly sing kumbaya around the campfire, and pretend they aren't all blood thirsty monsters? She doesn't think she can fake it, even if things start heating up with strangely seductive Shawn. He's too old for her, but she's convinced that in the new world she lives in......age really is just a number.

OTHER PROJECTS

Lilith, oh Lilith, she is a very interesting/evil subject. A year or so back, in order to give myself a break from The Wild Hunt, I started a side project just for fun. It was supposed to be something easy that helped me stretch my creative feet, and ended up being a big project like everything else I do. So after hours and hours of research about Lilith in The Dead Sea Scrolls, and the Talmud and Jewish Folklore, I decided it needed to be bigger. I'm hoping I can chop it down a bit into a Novella, but if not it will be a full Novel. It is sort of a Prequel to the Seven Deadly Kings. Lilith should be the next book out after The Wild Hunt, and followed either by Duncan's book The Hidden, or Jen's prequel Camp Temperance.

 LILITH: PART 1

Not everyone believes in love at first sight.

I know I didn't, but when a new boy moved to my little town, everything, including me changed. It wasn't his deep blue eyes, or his perfect smile that called to me, but a connection that was older than time. Our lives were bound together, and the past has a way of circling.

After a date gone horribly wrong, then the blood and the fever. I started to hear voices no one else could hear. People died, some were tortured, my pain was her pleasure...and Lilith was at the center of it all.

Love isn't just a fairy tale, its survival. Clawing my way from death and standing up for that love no matter the price. Because in the end love is all that really matters anyway...even when its the at first sight kind.

LILITH: PART 2

No one ever said that relationships were easy. I guess I thought that once I found love everything else would fall into place.

I didn't count on my accident, the deaths of my mother and friends, and my annoying new ability. I didn't count on a lot of things.

I thought my trip into the Otherside would solve all my problems.

I thought Dean would be waiting for me when I got back....

I thought....seems to be my theme lately.....my thoughts are like a lot of other people's assumptions.....ass and me seem to go hand in hand.

I never for one minute thought Lilith would win....I guess my thoughts should be outlawed..... because Lilith always wins.

Stephanie Keller, besides the WH, this is the next project I am the most excited about, I still love SDK, but Hollow, is very dear and near to my heart. In the spirit of American Psycho meets Dexter, Stephanie is not your average serial killer. In fact she killed her father at the young age of fourteen. Her mother took the blame, and now Stephanie lives with her Grandpa, who tries, and sometimes fails, to keep her out of trouble. She has a need, an empty Hollow hunger that entices her to kill, and take the lives of those she believes are unworthy. She hears voices that tell her who to kill and when, and how to get away with it. Her biggest obstacle is not killing, but wondering if what she hears and what she believes is really true, is it a sickness, or is she just as crazy as her father, notorious serial killer, Richard Allan Keller.

Here's a list of the Books and the release dates I'm Hoping, will happen, it's just a guess:

The Wild Hunt (WH1) October 31st 2012
Lilith  (SDK 0.5) February-2013
Scent Hound  (WH 1.75) Summer-2013
Released (Lilith: Part 2) October-2014
The Otherside (WH2) June-2014
The Hidden/Camp Temperance (WH 0.5 and 1.5) Fall-2014
Soul Eater (WH3) Late-2015
Asmodeus (SDK1) Mid-2015
Hollow (Stephanie Keller-1) 2015

I can't really guess farther than this, but WH stands for The Wild Hunt Series, and SDK stands for The Seven Deadly Kings Series. The first novel of the Seven Deadly Kings needs to follow Soul Eater chronologically.
